All this snow!!!!!

For all of my Utah friends: You think you have a lot of snow??? I mean, come on what do you got out there, a measly 2 or 3 feet? Have you even had to have a snow day? How about 2 snow days? Well obviously it's not that bad. Out here we had 2 snow days this week. We're talking some MAJOR snow! It snowed on Tuesday, and school was closed. Then on Wednesday, the roads were still so bad from all the snow, that we had another snow day! It was awful! I tried to make the best of things, the kids and I made cookies (w/ friend, Daniel). Araleigh had a little fashion show in my sport's bra. When we got really bored, we gave Jax a new 'do.
So I bet by now you're all really curious as to what a MAJOR snow storm looks like. You're probably wondering just how bad the snow gets out here. You're thinking to yourself, man I thought we had it bad! Ohio obviously got so much more! I hope those poor people are coping with the millions of back injuries from digging out mountains of snow! So just how bad does the snow have to get out here to justify not one, but two snow days??? Well, I'll show you:I mean, look at this! You can barely even see the grass peeking through! There is almost a full inch there!! My driveway isn't shoveled, I don't know how I'm going to get out without 4 wheel drive! I guess it's a good thing I haven't had to make the treacherous journey to school, we may not have found our house behind all these drifts! So next time you're looking at all that snow in Utah, think about us, probably snowed-in, going crazy with all these snow days out here in Columbus, Ohio.

He He! There's hardly enough to even attempt to make a snowman! :)

Wow! Two whole snow days! Utah got a bad storm Wednesday that had people stuck on the freeway by Thanksgiving point for over 5 hours before they could get them out, and by Thursday morning, they were still getting the last of the cars out of the mess! Well, Jordan School district saw the mess and "wisely" DELAYED school for 2 hours before making all the kids come. No snow days here! Of course, they probably questioned their decision after 3 buses got stuck on the West side, two of them special ed!

We got between 1 1/2 and 2 feet of snow out here in Tooele. We did end up having a snow day - the first district wide closure in about 20 years. The real problem was the wind blew all over and there were 3 foot drifts. The roads still have about 4 inches of wet, slippery slush. I really feel for you though! I about went crazy with 1 snow day! I can't imagine 2!

Hey Brandis, I saw your blog from Diana's I hope it's ok if I look and link you from mine, jgtatkinson.blogspot.com. I can't believe how big your kids have gotten, I guess that's what happens when I don't see anybody in years. They are just adorable.

I'm so glad you came to my blog. Yep, we live in NY now. We moved almost a year ago and just bought a house so I guess we will be here for a while. I am so underinformed as well. I know so little about what's going on with friends but thanks to blogs and other sites, it's so easy to stay in contact.
